I have noticed people are far less inclined to apologise for things that they have done where they have been at fault these days. Instead many can respond in anger and try to gaslight. It is important for us all to understand at time we need to face up to things we have done and make a heartfelt apology. It's not always easy to admit when you are wrong but shows the type of person you are when you face up to your mistakes.

Great post. A sincere apology can go a long way, but it isn’t always easy for people to offer one, especially these days. In the world we live in now, apologies often feel rare, and when they do happen, they’re not always rooted in genuine understanding or care.

Oh yes, I've always apologized if I know I'm in the wrong. I tell my kids to do the same. It's not always easy to do it, but I always say it'll make you feel better in the end. Even if the person doesn't accept the apology, at least you'll know you tried.

I agree that an apology without sincerity means nothing. Angela and I often try to teach our children not to just say sorry when you've wronged someone, but to genuinely mean it. It's so easy to just say the word and think it will make everything ok. It's not the word that corrects the wrong, it's the sincerity and motive behind the word.
