I completely agree about protecting our mail and regularly monitoring our credit. I make it a habit to request a credit report at least once a year just to make sure there aren’t any loans, credit accounts, or mortgages opened under my name. It’s a simple step that can make a big difference.

I pay to have my stuff monitored when I do my taxes each year. They email me when they find my info leaked. I also monitor my credit frequently. I’ve worked very hard to rebuild it.

This happened to me sort of at a gas station and they took my debit card information at the pump with one of those…skimmers? I think that’s what they are called. I went shopping after I got gas and the card wouldn’t go through. Such a pain!
