This made me realise how easy it is to forget there’s so much care behind a vineyard. I appreciated the focus on being a considerate guest and slowing down enough to really take in the setting, not just rush from one tasting to the next. That gave the whole post a really grounded feel.

While your 12 tips are very helpful for people who visit a winery, especially first timers, some of them stood out. The idea of not wearing perfume to a winery tasting is surprising ( and one I and many others routinely ignore). Guests asking for a better wine or a discount had me laughing out loud. Winery tours are fun and common sense is definitely important .

I love wineries; they are so fun. And you definitely need to make sure that you eat before going. Something light may not do the job.

Having yet to visit a winery I can do with all the advice that I can get to make sure when I do go along with the husband we can enjoy the experience to the full and make the most out of it. Ha, love the tip to taste and spit if visiting more than one winery. Not sure I’d manage more than one in a day though.

I haven’t been to a winery in such a long time but I do remember that the ones I’ve seen have been so impressive. Especially true if they have a entertainment and such on their land as well.

I will keep these in mind if I go to a winery. I’m not a huge fan of wine, but I would still go for the snacks and scenery. And hey, maybe I would finally find a wine that I liked.
