Social Media Marketing

Social media is specific to a computer-based technology that promotes the partaking of emotions, feelings, thoughts, ideas, concepts, advice, data, knowledge, and information via communities and virtual networks. It allows the user to give or use information through the internet on their computer, laptop, smartphone through an application or web-based software. 4.5 billion people use it.Β It started as a framework to talk to family and friends and was adopted by businesses to communicate and reach out to customers and resulted in social media marketing and the job of the social media manager.

Businesses use social media platforms to engage with their customers as we can see from above.

Rachel Mills asked me about what it takes to be successful in social media. I had a simple piece of advice “To boost your audience on social media, be authentic, get a tribe, and post anything related to the needs of that tribe”.

Before I go further, I am not an influencer, a social media expert, a guru, or know it. Social media is changing and the metrics, analytics, swot analysis, policies, and algorithm are constantly changing.

I am a blogger on women empowerment and authenticity works for me. Authenticity for me is to be aware of my personality, goals, values, codes, morals, conscience, strengths, weaknesses, boundaries sense of duty, honor, and standards. I stay within that lane. I align everything I do with those goals and values.

We were born to be in relationships with other people. Humans long for a sense of belonging. We want to be part of a family, community, group of fellow believers, and tribes are important because we share something in common. My tribe as a blogger are those people who believe in empowering women. If you go to my site, there are no ads, no-nonsense. It is user-friendly and it is real and authentic.

Anything and everything I do is related to empowering women.

I am super grateful to Rachel Mills to include me in her blog Milsygirl and for asking me for advice related to social media for her readers.
