Chatterpaul’s
Chatterpaul’s has been mesmerizing diners since 2008. Chef James (Chadman) Thomas-Chatterpaul and business partner and front-of-the-house manager, Penny Johansen, have blended their flair for spectacular cuisine, and exotic dishes and deliver fantastic customer service. Chad has taken his exquisite art and technique to a distinct pinnacle.
The hushed but chic and fancy adornment welcomes everyone at Chatterpaul’s. Chatterpaul’s offers free wi-fi service, electrical power in each booth, and a business function room, complete with an AV system, screen, AMP, and microphone in the private dining room.
I have been to Chatterpaul’s a number of times for business, Valentine’s Day, and recently celebrated a friend’s birthday.
We are greeted by a friendly host and are seated in a booth. The layout of the restaurant maximizes the space and functionality of the restaurant that keeps the guest’s comfort in mind. We are handed an easy menu and served water.
Both of us are in the mood for a steak. We end up ordering the 8oz Angus Striploin & Shrimp cooked to a beautiful medium-rare. It is served over mascarpone garlic mashed potatoes and topped with tiger shrimp and accompanied with peppercorn sauce.
I order a bottle of 2020 McManis Cabernet-Sauvignon. This red is estate bottled at McManis Family Vineyards in California. The black fruit and oak aroma hit your senses and are full-bodied.
The server brings a delicious amuse bouche. The complimentary appetizer is delicious and gets me ready for the steak.
The steak arrives. It is cooked perfectly. The fries are crispy and the peppercorn sauce is outstanding. The Cabernet Sauvignon is just the right red with the steak.
A great meal and an amazing conversation and it is time for creme caramel.
The dessert meets all my expectations.
The restaurant meets all my expectations in terms of food, drinks, ambiance, and service. Chatterpaul’s is located at 3500 Brock Street North and tell Penny you read the review here. Her personalized care and service are outstanding.
