Mountain Burger, Hamilton is a family-owned and operated restaurant famous for handmade delicious gourmet burgers, French fries, and milkshakes. Mountain Burger uses a special blend of fresh never frozen gluten-free meat and grinds it in-store every day to meet the perfection level.
Dawood Al-Shaikhli, Abdulah Almesri, and Mohmedsalh Almesri are passionate about food and it shows in their offerings at Mountain Burger. The focus is on serving handmade delicious gourmet burgers with a combination of Canadian AAA beef with buns baked fresh daily. The goal is to make the best burger in Hamilton with amazing taste and quality.
Hamilton Burger is located in Upper Ottawa and has a simple menu consisting of burgers, chicken sandwiches, wings, hot dogs, Philly steak sandwiches, salads, plant-based burgers, drinks, milkshakes, homemade cakes, and sides.
I have been to Mountain Burgers three times. The first time I sat down and tried their burgers, the second time was for take out for wings and the third was also take out for the Grey Cup for wings.
The inside is nice and comfortable.
You order at the counter and they bring the food to you.
The first time I had the Mountain Classic Burger combo and Debbie had the Hawaiian Burger. The classic consists of a 6oz AAA patty, Cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle and their delicious mountain sauce. It is a huge burger and just melts in your mouth. The fries are generous and delicious.
The Hawaiian consists of a 6oz AAA patty, pineapple, beef bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mountain sauce. This is a fruity sweet burger with savory toppings and fresh pineapple.
Both burgers are huge and delicious.
The second time we tried the Buffalo and the BBQ wings.
There is a delicious smokiness to the wings, which are tender and out of this world.
Mountain Burger also offers a vegan option, a keto burger option, and a gluten-free burger.
Mountain Burger is always busy and that tells you that they have a following in Hamilton. It is a family-owned restaurant, that offers great food, great service with a smile, and generous portions.
If you are in the mountain and feel like a burger or a takeout, check them out. You will not be disappointed.

Grinding the meat right in the shop makes such a difference for a fresh patty. Those wings with the smoky flavor must be a perfect choice for a game night.
Finding quick, satisfying, stick to the ribs food is always a joy and this looks like one of those places. I’m partial to crispy French fries and theirs looking very inviting. Yummy!
YUM! This is totally our kind of restaurant. My kids would be all over those wings and that burger. It’s honestly hard to find a really good burger these days, but this place looks absolutely delicious. I love that they grind their meat right in the restaurant, you can tell it’s fresh, and that makes all the difference in flavor.
Oh the wings look so delicious! Been on a mini veggies-only January reset after all the heavy eating over the Christmas holidays. I did overdo things, and my scale let me know it 🙂 This post makes me look forward to eating meat, dairy, and some cheat day fries! The burger with bacon had me literally salivating! This looks like a great place to support family-owned business, and the never-frozen beef is a major plus!
This burger looks so yummy. Love the size of the meat patty, so many times burger patties are too thin and I do not eat the bread so a big juicy burger is always nice. And the friends, those I could eat right now. Love me some fries for sure.

This made me add Mountain Burger to my mental list of places to try in Hamilton. A good burger that actually fills you up and feels worth it is always a win, and this sounded like one of those reliable go to places.
