The founders of The Burnt Tongue wanted to create a chain of restaurants in Hamilton known for delicious soups and burgers. Everything about the restaurant is to create a casual and comfortable environment. The focus is on bringing food and hospitality together by providing healthy and delicious food.
The Burnt Tongue that we visited is located at 10 Cannon Street East.
We order at the counter. A single classic burger, a single deluxe burger, fries, and a Coke. The service is friendly and they bring the food to your table. I do sense an extra serving of warmth that is ingrained in the culture.
The burgers are delicious and outstanding. This is comfort food at its best. The ingredients are fresh and all the ingredients are locally sourced.
What a name. LOL. I was sure this was a restaurant focusing on spicy food. Instead, it focuses on the eats I love!

I didn’t know that Tim Horton’s was a Canadian transplant to the USA. I’m impressed by the endless restaurants and nightlife in Hamilton. I should visit sometime and explore the area. Very beautiful and busy.
