SeaSalt Restaurant: Best Seafood in Old Montreal

SeaSalt Restaurant is a dapper, sleek, bistro offering exquisite fare, including oysters, and ceviches plus a stylish bar, and a patio on Place Royale.
Seasalt is located in the heart of the Old Port of Montreal in a historic edifice with lots of history.

If you want to have a meal experiencing all the action of Old Montreal then choose the grandiose terrace surrounded by greenery. If you want to experience a chic resto-bar experience then go inside the restaurant.

Seasalt Restaurant merges South American and Mediterranean cuisines using fresh and local products. The ambiance is accentuated with amazing service, a vibrant atmosphere, and a c’est la vie attitude.

We are greeted by the friendly manager who greets and seats us and talks about the restaurant, the food, and the specials.
Jean has a Coke and I order two glasses of INSOLITE 2019. Franck and Betty Millet own a 20-hectare domain in bue and the ‘Cuvee Insolite’ is the premium white wine with a clean and crisp palate, medium-bodied, and the right accompaniment to the shellfish bonanza we are going to experience. It is served at the right temperature and it makes me hungry.
Jean has the Mussels of the Day, I have the Grilled Octopus and Debbie has the Clam Bake.

The mussels are perfect with the right amount of white wine and garlic with decadent fries. The bake has half a lobster, clams, mussels, corn, potatoes, and chorizo all cooked to taste amazing. The octopus comes with quinoa and chickpea salad and baby arugula.

If you want mussel shucked in front of you, the expert puts on quite a display for you.

It is time for dessert and the waiter recommends the Creme Brule. I have to be honest here. It is one of the best Creme Brule I haveĀ had in my life. We have three helpings.

I give this place top marks for the atmosphere, vibe, food, service, drinks and really helping me have a great time.

Canada is still on my bucket list. Will make it to Montreal and take a trip to eat here.
This sounds like such a lovely experience. The food looks so good and you really captured the atmosphere and vibe of the place beautifully.
This looks like a delicious spot to dine if you like seafood. I wish I did! I never got a taste for it, but my kids LOVE it, so they’d be a fan of this restaurant.
Those muscles look good. I need to try this place on my next vacation to here.
I have to revisit Montreal soon. I haven’t been in years, and it’s not that far from where I live in Ottawa.
This sounds wonderful, I’ve not been to a good seafood restaurant in so long but this has inspired me to change that. The food that you had there sounds delicious and the portion sizes seem really good too. The white wine and garlic mussels sound sooooooo good. I used to love that. I quite fancy it now.I also love the sound of the grilled octopus . The fact that it comes with a salad is a winner for me. It makes for a tasty and healthy dish and one that I really can’t wait to try for myself x
WOW, such a cozy restaurant and the food looks delicious, I really need to make a trip to Canda it’s not that far, now I have never tried mussels before and after seeing theirs I would definitely give them a try…. everything looks so fresh
That clam bake looks insaneš. The place looks like the kind of spot you go to ājust to try itā and end up staying way longer than planned.
Adding this to the Montreal list.
